MOVING TOWARD ZERO WASTE
Lands' End, Inc. - a large catalog clothing company headquartered in rural Dodgeville, Wisconsin - continues to expand its recycling program. As a result, the amount landfilled in the last five years decreased by 63 percent, while companv net sales increased by 45 percent. In 1999, the firm recycled approximately 88 percent of all waste generated. The recycling program covers office paper, catalogs, corrugated, beverage containers, newspaper and various plastic items, including film.
